Shaverman

Thirty-year U.S. Air Force retiree. Bought/sold shavers for five years on eBay, but quit when PayPal was discontinued and we sellers were required to setup bank accounts. Currently have 19 mostly new shavers....foil, rotary, plug-in electric, and rechargeable. Idol is Ovidiu who runs the Shaver Check site as he knows more about shavers than anyone I know, certainly more than I do.

I have a rotating sequence for my shavers and all get used on a schedule. My now deceased wife used to say I was a fanatic but she was glad shavers were my only distraction from everything else. I am according to some too meticulous about cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining shavers. I prefer pure electric (cord only) to rechargeable as they last longer, and I can't take a rechargeable to the gym as the heat here in Vegas would kill the shaver in the car while I'm out. My oldest shaver (I got free from Remington) is the F3790 they gave me in 2011. I still get 15 shaves with it. Most expensive purchase was last month...the Philips Prestige Ultra...a great shaver that shaves well, but being a rotary, can't shave quite as close as a foil. Best bargain was July this year. Bought a new XLR-810, perhaps the best Remington, for $12 and got the shipping back as I complained about some rust on the blades. Detroit Metro Mart didn't realize the value of a new XLR.
