Picked up a Panasonic Arc5 last weekend and I'm already noticing it's getting clogged up with hair after just a few shaves. The manual that came with it is pretty basic and doesn't really explain the cleaning process very well, so I'm hoping someone here can give me better guidance.

I've been rinsing it under hot water after each use, but there's still hair stuck in there that won't come out. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? Also, how often am I supposed to do a deep cleaning versus just the daily rinse? The razor came with some cleaning solution but I'm not sure when to use it or if I need to buy more of that stuff regularly.

What about taking it apart - is that something I should be doing regularly or only when there's a problem? I want to keep this thing working well since it wasn't cheap, but I'm not really the type to spend a lot of time on maintenance. What's the minimum I need to do to keep it running properly without making it a huge hassle?

This is my first electric razor so I'm still figuring out the whole routine. Any tips from Arc5 owners would be appreciated.

Hi, Jake. Welcome aboard. I wouldn't rely on just a daily rinse. I would do a deep clean with the cleaning station, as well, whenever the battery needs charging. The Arc5's head and cutter set is separate, unlike, say, the Braun Series 9's, so the deep clean with the cleaning station is able to really get in the nooks and crannies for a thorough cleaning. Some people recommend a deep clean after every shave. I think that's a bit much, so the deep clean after each battery charge should be fine.
