Wednesday 22nd May Just back from a break For the past 10 days I have alternated with a Kemei KM-8512 and the Remington F6 with Blue Stratos Pre Electric. I think the Kemei is edging slightly ahead of the Remington due to being slightly smoother and more comfortable.

I face shave only....and primarily with foil razors....so about 2 minutes for me for a dry shave using pre electric.

The time used is the time for the shaving session. Too early to say much about the charge indicator except that it has dropped to 88% after 5/6 shaves.

Shaves are on a par with my Remington. It is most definitely plastic with no rubber for grip I would have preferred more black and less shine! The head flexes sideways only with no lock. The LED display is visible while operating and shows % charge and time used. Charged with a standard USBA -...

I think it may be something to do with the current fashion for 'designer stubble' and electric offers more options for maintaining that look!

Very interesting. When I regularly used a Philishave a few years back I used to periodically clean the heads in an ultrasonic bath with warm soapy water and then rinse and allow to air dry. I try to use what I have to hand...so if I want to sterilise my new 3000 Series with alcohol I would hope...

On the basis of this review....just ordered a 3000 series to see what it is like. I haven't used a Philishave for a very long time!

If yo can get some Alcolado Glacial (Jamaican made)....it's an effective and inexpensive equivalent.

It shaves well...but not as close as a foil. Disappointingly although sold on Amazon....the manual is Chinese only
