I wanted to share a positive experience with my Braun Series 5 since most posts on here seem to be about problems or people asking for advice. I've been using mine daily for just over 3 years now and it's still performing excellently.
I bought it in August 2022 for around $110 and it's been my daily driver ever since. I shave every morning before work and the battery still holds a solid charge. I get about 10-12 shaves per charge which is pretty close to what it did when new.
Maintenance has been straightforward. I rinse it under water after each use and do a deeper clean with the brush once a week. I replaced the foil and cutter set once at the 18 month mark for about $35. That's been my only expense beyond the initial purchase.
The shave quality remains consistent. Takes me about 4 minutes to get a clean shave. Not the absolute closest shave possible but perfectly acceptable for professional appearance. No skin irritation issues.
I think people sometimes overlook the mid-range models in favor of the expensive flagship razors. The Series 5 has been reliable and cost-effective. Sometimes you don't need all the premium features to get good results.
