series 9 pro worth the extra $$ over regular series 9?

thinking bout upgrading from my series 5. series 9 pro is like $150 more than regular series 9. is it actually worth it or just marketing?
heard the only diff is the prolift trimmer thing. does it even make a difference or nah?

Well, Liam, our Shavermeister Jim has some experience with that series. I did have the regular 9 series a few years ago given for me to test, but whether the Pro series of the shaver is worth it depends on whether the extra features are worth it to you. If you look at the reviews of the two on Amazon, they're pretty close. I know on the Philips side, the difference between the 9000 Prestige and the 9000 Prestige Ultra are significant, including redesigning of the heads. I'd look at the differences in features between the two, look at the two sets of reviews on Amazon, and then decide. Finally, as Jim has pointed out, within each series there are different "packages" that offer extra accessories like a cleaning station, but the shavers themselves are normally the same. My 9000 Prestige Ultra without the cleaning station and extra cutting accessory was $100 less than the other Ultra model. Good luck, Liam.
