Jim Elliott - how's the Aberlite Touch 2 working for you?

I saw in another thread that you've been using the Aberlite Touch 2 head shaver and I'm really curious about your experience with it. I'm thinking about picking one up but want to hear from someone who's actually used it regularly.

How's the battery life holding up? Does it handle the back of your head well or do you need a mirror for everything? And how close of a shave are you getting compared to other head shavers you've tried?

Also wondering about the foil durability. Does it feel like it'll last or does it seem fragile? And is the gold version just cosmetic or is there any functional difference?

I've been using a regular face shaver on my head but it's awkward as hell, so I'm hoping something designed specifically for head shaving would be better.

Any feedback would be appreciated before I drop money on one.

Thanks.

Marcus, good to hear from you, and welcome aboard. The battery life is holding up well. It's 90 minutes. Now, with that said, a head shave can't be done in three minutes like on the face. More like 12. I get about seven shaves per charge. It shaves the back of my head well. I don't use a mirror. I just feel my head afterwards.

The foil feels like it'll hold up. The gold version is simply cosmetic.

It's a good price ($79), but I won't pretend that other mid-range foil razors like the Andis or BaBylissPRO can't do the same job, because they absolutely can.

The Aberlite is marketed as a head razor. That is correct. But at the end of the day, it's an electric razor. You can shave your head with any electric.
